Lillian Yvonne Millar nee Laforce
1930-2023
Lillian Millar, of Buckingham, Quebec, passed away at her family home on Friday, August 31. She was 93. Beloved wife of 70 years to her high-school sweetheart, Robert Millar, loving mom to Susan (Pierre), John (Lise), Jennifer (Louis André), and Bill, and caring grandmother to Jessica, Kate, and Robyn. Predeceased by parents Yvonne and Murdock Laforce, brother Bruce, as well as many lifelong friends.
Lil lived a full and happy life with wonderful memories made at the cottage that she and her husband built as a Centennial project and over 25 active years of retirement living in Florida.
In keeping with Lil’s wishes there will be no funeral services. A private burial to take place at a later date.
Susan, John, Jennifer & Bill and family, please accept our deepest sympathy! Your mom Lillian was such a great & wonderful person, friend and neighbour! Our thoughts and prayers are with you durng these hard times!
I have beautiful memories of Mrs. Millar growing up, so kind and patient. Every time she would call Bill in for supper I would hear ‘G-a-a-a-l-e’ instead of ‘B-i-i-i-i-l-l-l’ and would holler back every time: ‘yes Mrs. Millar?’ That still makes me smile.
May the God of all comfort give you Great Comfort as you mourn and remember your loving wife and mum, aunt and gramma, friend and relative.
With great fondness,
Tony & Gale Cullen

Lil was a wonderful person, her friendship of more than 80 years with my mother made her very dear to me. In nice weather, she often sat out front at the house and I would stop for a visit when I was passing by. She shared many stories of their childhoods, the memories over the years with Mom and Dad, and with the Jamers. I will miss her and those conversations, keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
My deepest sympathies to the familly she was a great person R I P.
Sincerest condolences to the family
So sorry for your loss. Mrs Millar was a wonderful lady and a good friend to my parents. I fondly remember attending many St Stephen’s church teas with her, my mom and Peggy P.
Your mom and grandmother was a great lady. Always a smile when she had friends and family around her. I wish that when you think of her it makes you smile. Take care.
My sincerest condolences to Bob, Susan, John, Jenny and Bill. Bob and Lil Millar were really great friends of my parents and the Smith family. I have many fond memories of going to visit them at their cottage on the Lievre River. Lil helped me knit my first Icelandic Sweater. She was a great and very kind lady. She will be missed.
Dear Susan, John, Jennifer, Bill and Bob,
Our deepest condolences. I have many fond memories of Lil. She tolerated a great deal of mischievousness from the Price kids.
Our thoughts are with you all as you cherish the beautiful memories of Lil.
